Amber Lenee Beckenholdt, 40, Elk City, Kansas passed away in an automobile accident on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, Kansas. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Children of Amber Beckenholdt Memorial Fund and may be made at any First Oak Bank location or left with Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory.
Amber was born March 18th, 1982, in Independence Kansas to Clayton Arthur Beckenholdt and Renee Sue (Kimzey). Amber was raised by her grandmother Joan Beckenholdt of Sedan Kansas and her father Clayton Beckenholdt. Amber started her school career in Emporia Kansas, moved to Sedan her seventh grade. She went to Ozark Academy in Ozark Arkansas her senior year. Following her high school graduation Amber attended Southern Advent University in Chattanooga Tennessee for a year. She was a competitive volleyball and softball player.
Amber married Chad Kahler in May 2004 the couple made their home in Elk City, Kansas. Amber enjoyed reading, cooking, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies from October until July. Amber was an upbeat and lively person she always had a smile on her face and enjoyed spending time with friends playing cards and just hanging out. She also loved animals and spoiling her pets. Amber was employed by Cessna, Springer Family Foods, and Standard Motors at the time of her passing.
Amber was preceeded in death by her mother, Re Nee Sue Kimzey. Survivors are Husband Chad Kahler her children Corbin Beckenholdt and Megan Kahler of the home. Her father Clayton Beckenholdt of Howard Kansas. Grandmother Joan Beckenholdt of Sedan Kansas. Grandfather Max Beckenholdt of Howard Kansas. Brother Ryan (Essa) Beckenholdt of Pratt Kansas, stepbrother Nicky (Cahly) Tindle. Sisters Chelsea (Billy) Myers of Cherryvale Kansas. Mandy (Russel) Lawrence of Marionville Missouri. Father-in-law Todd (Lisa) Kahler, Independence, Kansas Mother-in-law Cheryl Kahler, Independence, Kansas, sister-in-law Caitria (Gordon) Gartner, Independence, Kansas, brother-in-law Michael (Heather) Sulllivan, Longmont, Colorado.
