Brian Welch

Brian D. Welch, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date in Lakin, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Welch family and maybe left at Webb Rodrick Chapel.
Brian was born October 6, 1958 in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Loren D. and Doris Busby Welch. He graduated from Lakin High School in Lakin, KS. He had been employed as a pumper for an oil and gas production company. Brian enjoyed fishing, woodworking and carving sticks and was devoted to his family.
Brian is survived by his children: daughter Katie Welch of Chanute, KS, sons Shannon Welch of Garden City, KS, Joshua Welch of Overland Park, KS, Kyle Jeffrey Welch of Elk City, KS, Derik E. Douglas of Tribune, KA, James N. Welch of Elk City, KS and Riley Cartwright of Carthage, MO. He is also survived by a sister Denise Brink of Portland, OR as well as 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brad Welch.
Webb Rodrick Chapel Crematory is handling the arrangements.
