Dolores Gardner

Dolores A Gardner,87,of Hays Kansas passed away on Thursday November 2,2017. She was born to the late John Chaney and Thelma Haberly Cheney on May 25,1930.

Dolores married John Gardner and had three daughters Debby Wyatt of Apple Valley California, Melisa Bolen of Haysville Kansas and Melanie Gardner of Tulsa Oklahoma.

Dolores leaves behind sister Wilma (Helmut) Schmeller of Manhattan Kansas and brother John (Hazel) Chaney of Wichita Kansas.

Dolores moved to Hays Kansas in 1983 from Mojave California..She was an avid reader and visited the Hays Library weekly. She volunteered at Hays Medical and enjoyed sewing and making newborn caps and blankets.

Dolores will be laid to rest 1:30 p.m. November 7 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence Kansas. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the chapel.
