Donna Lee Plummer, 79, Independence, Kansas passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to AWOL and may also be left with the chapel.
Donna was born September 7, 1941 in Lenexa, Kansas to Marin and Opal (Ledford) Nalley. She attended school in Lenexa, Kansas and later her family moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where Donna graduated. Donna earned her Cosmetology license graduating from I.C.C. Cosmetology School. She worked for The Main Event before opening and operating her own shop, Classy Clippers. There she worked with her daughter, Toni, up until 2019. Donna married John Carson Purdunn in 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas. John passed away in 1966. Donna later married Robert E. Plummer in 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robert passed away in 2016.
Donna was well loved by all her customers and will be remembered for her commitment, compassion, and understanding to her family and customers. Donna's hobbies include digging in the dirt, gardening, and fishing.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; twelve siblings; husbands, John Carson Purdunn and Robert E. Plummer; and one stepson, Tad Plummer. Those left to cherish her memory include Ronald E. (Connie) Purdunn, Independence, Kansas; Christin Ann Mayhood, Corpus Christi, Texas; Toni (Steve) DeBo, Independence, Kansas; Michel (Tausha) Purdunn, Independence, Kansas; one sister Betty Montoya, Kansas City, Missouri; three step children, Lew Plummer, Lacresent, Minnesota; Teri Eckley, Riverside, California; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. 1 turtle = 2 fish.
