Eldon Irby

Eldon E. Irby, 84, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2018. He was born December 19, 1934 in Wichita, KS to Floyd A. Irby and Bernice Elmore. Mr. Irby enlisted in the US Navy in 1952 and retired in 1974 after serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.

He married Sharon Elaine Lapp in 1957 and they had three children, Frank O. Irby, Debra Lynn Irby (Wallace) and Carol Anne Irby (Johnny Molina). His wife preceded him in death December 22, 2005 and their son, Frank passed away October 31, 2012.

In addition to his daughters, he is also survived by his brother Wayland and sisters, Rea Perez and Dena Farr all of California, three grandsons, John Gabriel Molina and Jered Michael Molina both of New Deal, Texas, Joshua Irby and one Granddaughter, Emily Irby, great grandson, Luke Molina and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Irby was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Navy Nuclear Weapons Association.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday January 4, 2019 at Webb and Rodrick Chapel in Independence, KS with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery with Military Honors.
