Janet Northcutt

Janet Sue Northcutt, age 65, of Independence passed away October 10, 2015 at her home.
Janet was born on May 22, 1950 in Glasgow, KY to John and Ruth (Moore) Lassley. As a child Janet's family moved around as a military family does, attending schools in Killeen, Texas, Bowling Green, Kentucky, Severy, Parsons and graduating from Independence. Janet met Garry Northcutt during church one day and the couple later married on September 3, 1987 at the Southern Baptist Church. Janet loved walking her dogs, walking over six miles most days. Before becoming ill she volunteered at the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Above all Janet was very devoted to her family and they meant the world to her.
Left to honor Janet's memory is her husband Garry, son Steve Murch, step-daughter Rachel Lyon, sister Nancy Clubine, grandchildren Garry Thomas Capps, Olivia Lyon, Jasper Davis, nieces and nephews; Jamie Clubine, Jason Clubine and wife Amy. Also surviving are her great nieces and nephew; Sydnee Clubine, Adyson Clubine and Owynn Clubine. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Pat Lassley and step-son; Jeremiah Northcutt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Webb & Rodrick Chapel with Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating, interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register on Wednesday, October 14 from noon until 7:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. To leave the family a message of condolence please visit www.webbrodrickfuneralhome.com.
