Linda Langford

Linda Sue Langford, 58, Independence, Kansas passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Crystal Brook Church with Reverend Dick Drumiller officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Birde Family, RE: Tasha Birde, 518 S 2nd ST, Independence, Kansas.
Linda was born April 30, 1957 in Lockwood, Missouri to Obie L. and Peggy S. (Buck) Langford. Linda grew up in the Missouri area before relocating to Independence, Kansas. Linda attended a floral school academy which brought her great joy and interest in plants, flowers and birds. Linda was a homemaker who loved her Children, grandchildren, family and friends unconditionally. Linda also loved giving to others, donating to charity and various organizations in the community. Linda was very passionate about life, family, and the bible, she was a Child of God.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and one son Tyreese Birde. Survivors include one son Terrence Birde, Independence, KS; two daughters, Tonya Birde, Independence, KS; Tasha Birde, Independence, KS; one brother, Larry and wife Darla, Oronogo, MO; one sister, Leah and husband Mike Benge, Halfway, MO; seven grandchildren, Tay, Taj, Arianna, Emery, Maryssa, Macoy, Ta'liyah; one great granddaughter, Tairynn; three nieces, Ginger Nelson of Independence, KS, Kahla Applegate, Karly Fris and Katelyn Spencer of Joplin, MO; a nephew, Kobie Langford also Joplin, MO; great niece and nephews, Dalton, Dalice, and Clever, Independence, KS; two nieces, Shadavia and Olivia along with two nephews, Raymond and John all of whom reside in Missouri.
