Melinda Townsley

Melinda Townsley, born Piatt, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Independence, Kansas, at the age of 60. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, Melinda touched the lives of many throughout her journey on this earth.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal, and her son, Joshua. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Paul and Eddie, as well as her sister, Brenda. Melinda was predeceased by her husband, Frank Townsley, to whom she was married on November 16, 1997. Their union was a testament to love and companionship.

Melinda's Celebration of Life will be held on May 27, 2025, at Montgomery Place Nursing Home, located at 614 S 8th, Independence, KS 67301. The service will commence at 1:30 PM, with a period of remembrance concluding at 2:30 PM.

As we reflect on Melinda's life, we remember her warm spirit and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
