Robert Aaron Sherley

Robert Aaron Sherley, Independence, passed away on Wednesday, May 3^rd, 2023, at his home. Cremation has taken place with Webb & Rodrick Crematory and Chapel. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 24th, at the funeral home at 1:00pm. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Robert was born on August 8^th, 1988, in Wichita, Kansas. He was the son of Angela Sherley and J.D Holt. Robbie was raised by his grandparents Betty Sherley and Bill Paterson and his stepparents George Burgos and Diana Brunk. He graduated from Independence High School in 2007. He had worked at Eggberts, MFG/CWP and for his grandma Betty at C & C’s Tavern.

He enjoyed racing BMX bikes, motorcycles (especially Harley Davidson), and hiking. Robbie loved Neewollah and eating turkey legs and hunting countless hours for the medallion. He will be remembered for his huge heart for his family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents, aunt Cynthia Lori Hasslett and his cousin Brady Hasslett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his stepparents: George Burgos and Diane Brunk; stepsisters: Cassaundra Brunk and Natashia Brunk; stepbrother: Colton Brunk; nieces and nephews: Cloey, Maci, Lilly, Zuri, Jaxon,and Keaire; Uncle Richard Sherley and family.
