Sylvia Gibson

Sylvia Ann Gibson, 78, Independence, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory. Memorial Contributions may be made to Relay for Life and may be left with the Chapel.
Sylvia was born April 18, 1937 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Walter and Mable (Thompson) Blake, she attended and graduated from Cherryvale High School. Sylvia lived most of her life in the Southeast Kansas area living in Cherryvale, Independence, Coffeyville, Altoona, and Parson Kansas. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Don Blake, Vernon Blake, John Blake, and one son Doug Borovetz. Survivors include four sons and their spouses:, Greg and Berta Brightman, Oswego, KS; Bob and Emily Borovetz, Shawnee, KS; Alan and Sharon Borovetz, Wichita, KS; Curt and Jeannette Borovetz, Plain City, UT; three sisters, Pat Liles, Fairborn, OH; Linda Eisenbart, Cherryvale, KS; Bonnie Leahew, Broken Arrow, OK; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory.
