Terry Wayne Gray

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Wayne Gray, who departed this life on February 16, 2026, at the age of 68.  Born on October 18, 1957 in Odessa, Texas, Terry was a beloved resident of Coffeyville, Kansas, where he lived a life characterized by his unwavering faith and dedication to those around him.

Terry was a man of profound conviction and kindness.  His love for the Lord was evident in all he dad, and he was always willing to share that love with others.  Known for his honesty and caring nature, Terry spoke from the heart  - a quality that endeared him to many.  He often expressed his deep affection with sincerity, and when he said, "I love you", it resonated with genuine emotion.

A true lover of life, Terry appreciated all kinds of music and movies, often showcasing his passion through dance.  He possessed an insatiable curiosity, reflected in his diverse interests ranging from fishing and camping to auto body work.  Terry was also recognized for his incredible skills with computers, embodying the spirit of a true self-taught genius.  Though he described himself as a "master of none", his commitment to excellence was apparent.  He approached every task with unwavering dedication, always echoing his philosophy: "Do it right the first time" or "Do it like you are doing it for the Lord".  Terry wanted "Simple Man" to be played at his funeral, as it was a song that meant a great deal to him.  He also deeply loved "Amazing Grace", one of his favorite gospel hymns.

Terry dedicated his life to helping others, whether through physical or emotional support.  He had a unique gift for conversations and was known to make friends wherever he went.  His warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.  

As we remember Terry, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Gray and Etta Gray.
