In Loving Memory of William Kevin Banion
William Kevin Banion, known to many simply as Kevin, passed away on July 30, 2026. Born in Independence, Kansas, May 1, 1966, to William Patrick and Connie (Doub) Banion. Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, laughter, and countless memories shared with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Kevin married Stacy Ann Debo in April 2007, years later they divorced but remained very close friends.
Kevin found joy in the simple pleasures of life and was always happiest when he was doing something he loved. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping, embracing every opportunity to spend time outdoors. He also had a passion for restoring cars and tinkering on just about anything. His curiosity, determination, and willingness to figure things out were a reflection of the kind of man he was—hands-on, resourceful, and always ready to take on the next project.
Kevin's parents proceeded him in death. Left to carry on Kevin’s memory is his sister, Gina (Kevin) Clubine of Havana, Kansas; his stepchildren, Mark Johnson (Crystal), Matthew (Ashley) Debo, and Malarie (Robert) Thompson; and his seven grandchildren, Jaycie, Johanna, and Jailynn Johnson; Chesney and Boone Debo; and Rallie and Lane Thompson.
He is also survived by his nephews, Tyler Cody (Brittany) Clubine and their daughter, and Trenton Blade (Alaura) Clubine and their two daughters.
Kevin leaves behind so many beloved family members and friends who will miss his presence dearly. His love for those around him, his adventurous spirit, and the memories created together will remain in their hearts.
A service honoring Kevin’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory. Visitation Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory.
