Randy was born to Judy and John Sanborn in Wichita KS on October 26, 1966. Randy grew up in Wichita where he attended schools and participated on several baseball teams. Randy was employed at Cessna for over 20 years. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, Nascar and wrestling. Randy was family oriented and on May 19, 2000 Randy married his one true love Patti and they made their home in Independence KS. Randy loved to go back-roading, going on cruises, grilling and swimming in the pool in the summer. Randy had an infectious smile, he had many friends and was kind to everyone. Randy enjoyed attending sporting events of the grandchildren and never missed a game.

Randall was preceded in death by his grandparents Alonzo and Sylvia Sanborn, Gene and Georgia Reno and father, John A. Sanborn. Randy was survived by his wife Patti Sanborn [Independence KS], his mother Judy [Reno], his sister Pamela [Mark] Sanborn-Jim, brothers John Michael and Scott [Elizabeth] Sanborn his daughter Tammy Hader [Independence KS], his son Mickey Heatley [Skiatook OK], 6 grandsons, Brian Tate [Independence KS], Chris Tate [Independence KS], Ian Heatley [Tulsa OK], Andrew Heatley [Oklahoma City OK], Jacob Heatley [Wichita KS] and Orion Heatley [Skiatook OK], 3 great grandchildren Skyler Tate [Independence KS], Rylee Tate [Independence KS] and Gavin Tate [Independence KS], aunts and uncles and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Words from his wife Patti: “Randy will be missed by many, he was the best of the best. A good man with love for everyone and he always had a smile. I love you Randy. Rest in peace my darling. I’ll see you soon.”

There will be visitation from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Webb and Rodrick Chapel in Independence. To pay your respect to the family, there will be a Drive-By Celebration parade of Life at Patti’s Residence (709 W Chestnut Street Independence, KS) at 2:00 pm on Saturday April 25, 2020. Please line up on 15th street between Chestnut and Laurel. Cars and Bikes will parade east down Chestnut Street. Please bring a balloon. We will let these off as visitors drive past to celebrate Randy. Memorial donations in Randy's memory are suggested to AWOL, 116 S. 23rd St, Independence, KS 67301.
